Because of Grupo Primaflors reputation for producing high quality vegetable varieties and booming market demand for pre-cut salads, the company established its first fresh-cut processing venture in 2001. Today, Grupo Primaflors salads are sold to a growing list of customers, including supermarkets, wholesale markets and distributors. Sales continue to expand, and the future looks bright. To meet the demand for its products, the company recently began construction of a new fresh-cut processing plant equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The new facility allows managers to maximize the quality and freshness of its salads as well as market a wider variety of innovative salad mixes. The building encompasses 6,000 square meters and has a production capacity of 35,000 kilos per day. Grupo Primaflor is particularly proud of the plants innovative new air and water systems. Approximately 60 people are employed there. Grupo Primaflors managers also are proud of their companys contributions to Spains fresh-cut processing industry.
